iPod song of the week – Lush
This is going to be a bit short because I don’t really have anything to say about the lyrics of this song. Mostly because I have no idea what they are. Remember at the turn of the 90’s when it was trendy to make ethereal, dreamy pop, with the vocals way lower in the mix than the crunchy guitars and feedback? You must remember The Ocean Blue, Catherine Wheel, My Bloody Valentine, etc.
No? Well, this is one of my favorite songs of that era and really, I always thought this type of song sounded better with a women’s voice than a man’s. And if you can figure out the lyrics just by listening, well, I owe you a nickel.
