No, this is not an April Fool’s Joke. I needed a break from my Passover clean-out and so I undertook a project that I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and that is, move the iPod Song of the Week from a page to a weekly post. I’ve wanted to do this for several reasons:

1. Only three people ever read it (you know who you are, thanks!) and I’m stubborn enough to want to push it in your faces.
2. Lots of RSS readers (even more thanks!) and this seemed less of a hassle then starting a separate feed for ISotW.
3. Makes me look like I’m posting even when I’m really not saying much of anything!
4. Now people can comment should they feel like it, although songs aren’t exactly as much of a discussion magnet as essays, I admit.

For the vast majority that never checked this page out in the first place, welcome! It’s where I suggest or remind you of a song from the past to fill out the other 28GB on your iPod. Occasionally, I suggest a new song but those are all over the radio and TV anyway so you don’t really need me there. I aim for every Sunday but sometimes life gets in the way.

I didn’t archive all of them but probably 90% are now categorized under the “iPod Song of the Week” category there in the sidebar. As always, the streaming audio stays up as long as it’s still the song of the week; after that you just get the Napster link (also fun, just not as fun).

Owing to the holiday week and the effort of the move, there will be no new song this week. Please enjoy Muse for another week.

Yes, it’s 3:15am; homes don’t just clean themselves. More on this in Jew&A later today.
