I used to love snow–when I was teaching school, and had no kids. Subsequent events have changed my outlook somewhat.

I remember thinking during one particularly bad winter, “If we have one more snow day, I’m going to need UN peacekeepers sent to my house!”

  2. Becca says:

Everything’s better when you don’t have kids…wait, did I say that out loud?

  3. Alex says:

It’s OK if you say it out loud. It’d really be trouble if *I* said it out loud.

Honestly, you childless people…with your “me time” and your “sleeping late” and your “discretionary income.”

  4. Sarpon says:

Wow, first snow of the season and first f2f visit with DuJane within a couple of days of each other. Careful, Becca, you know what they say: too much of a good thing is pretty fantastic.

  5. Becca says:

Sometimes I want to borrow a child so as to excuse my lateness to shul but that’s about it.

I know, Sarpon. My life is pretty fantastic at the moment. And this is just snow on the cake. That’s the right metaphor, right?

  6. KP says:

We had like 10 flakes in CT.

    I am so freakin’ excited!!
My husband and I will be arriving from Florida on Monday for a 4 day visit!
One of my life long dreams is to take a carriage ride in Central Park with my honey while it is snowing!
So keep it coming untiil at least Monday, okay Becca?

Yay! It’ll be snowing here in a few hours, too, but I’ll try to keep it moving your way.

  9. Becca says:

KP, us too, alas. Luckily I was outdoors at the time.

Karen, I fear you will be facing 50 degree weather. However, that means there will be more locals in the park sitting around and acting as scenery. So at least you’ll have that.

Kay, that’s right, move it along, please.
